About Belur Club
The Belur Club is a prestigious Golf Club and social Institution founded in the year 1904.
Since its inception by European Coffee Planters during the British Colonial period, the club has served as a center for recreation and golfing activities for both local residents and outstation visitors.
The membership of Belur Club consists of Resident members, who have a residence in the plantation district of Kodagu (formerly known as Coorg); and Non-Resident Members, who reside across India and around the world.
The Belur Club annually hosts the renowned Coorg Open and & Handicap Golf Championship. This tournament has had an unbroken history of 113 years, since its commencement in the year 1906, making it one of the oldest Golf Tournaments of India.
The 9 hole, Belur Club Golf Course lies on undulating terrain surrounded by wooded glades, and mountain ranges; making it a challenging and visually captivating course to play.
Apart from Golfing, the Belur Club offers Tennis, Badminton, Billiards, Cards, Library, Lounge, Bar, and Dining facilities to its members. Four modern guest rooms with best in class amenities and entrancing views are available to Members guests and Members of Affiliated Clubs.
